“Cardiac Kids” Flatline in South Africa

After surviving elimination in the final moments against Algeria the United States had to face a confident Ghana team in Rustenburg. Sadly the “cardiac kids” would be overwhelmed by problems that plagued them all tournament causing the dream to flatline.

    • that was really a big problem for the US. Having an extra sub could have put Oguchi Onyewu in the backfield instead of depending on a tired Jay DeMerrit in extra time. John Harkes mentioned that making a sub in the 30th minute could prove costly and I believe it did.
