Revote Solves Nothing

(St. Louis – May 14, 2010)

Well the Associated Press accomplished their goal. Having a revote to determine the Defensive Rookie of the Year. But wait a second, what the revote really do? They didn’t take Brain Cushing‘s name off the ballot even though he tested positive for a banned substance. In fact, he still won the award.

What a joke! If the AP wanted to actually accomplish something they should’ve taken his name off the ballot. That would have actually made a statement about how people feel about steroid use in football. But instead, they left his name on and ended up rewarding him for his season, regardless of any PED’s he did or did not use.

In my opinion, the vote was pointless and the AP failed to accomplish anything meaningful by holding it. The only thing they did by leaving him on there is further prove that the masses don’t care about PED use in football.
